Lesson 1
Identify the responsible board or authority, eligibility rules, approved references, exam provider, content outline, passing rule, and renewal requirements. Requirements can change, so record the date each source was checked.
Lesson 2
Technical credentials exist to protect health, safety, property, and the environment. Learn the hazard, the control, the required record, and the escalation path for each major task.
Lesson 3
Write units throughout every calculation and convert only when necessary. Estimate the expected range before calculating so misplaced decimals and incorrect conversion factors are easier to detect.
Lesson 4
Use a repeatable sequence: review requirements, inspect or measure, compare with the standard, document the result, and take the authorized action. Never change a result to fit an expectation.
Lesson 5
A defensible record identifies the subject, date, method, result, responsible person, and follow-up. Corrections should preserve accountability rather than silently replacing the original entry.
Lesson 6
Divide the official outline into domains, practice retrieval without notes, complete mixed timed sets, and keep an error log. Spend final review time on recurring reasoning errors rather than rereading familiar pages.
